Round Robins

Round Robins, also known as RR's, are packets of letters that travel a route from one member to another. To participate in a RR, you must be a member of N3F. Each RR has approximately 4-6 members and centers on a topic such as alternate history, dragons, writing science fiction, as well as subjects that are not related to SF or fantasy, or a RR can center on an author such as Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackey, or Charles DeLint.

There are a few things to remember: 1. A Robin Master (RM) starts a RR after receiving a route list from the head of the Robin Bureau. 2. When a member receives the packet of letters, he/she takes out his/her old letter and then puts in a new one; the packet is then sent to the next person on the list. 3. It is helpful if members send a note or postcard to the RM when they send the packet on to the next person. That helps the RM to keep track of the RR and to determine when the packet of letters is lost. 4. It also helps if each member would write down the date that he or she mailed the RR. That way, if the RR is lost, it is easier to track down.

A member can join and participate in as many RR's as he or she wants to, but it is good to start with about five . A person can only participate if he or she is a member of the National Fantasy Fan Federation (N3F). For more info on joining N3F click on the "How to Join" link located on the left menu column.
